OUR SERVICES  |  DIAGNOSTIC X-RAY

Plaza Medical provides onsite diagnostic x-ray services.  Diagnostic X-ray, also known as radiography, is an examination using electromagnetic energy beams to produce images onto film or computer. A physician can then see structures inside your body and understand better how they’re performing. X-rays have various functions, such as diagnosing bone injuries and tumors. X-rays are very routine, painless and results are usually immediately available.

More About Diagnostic X-Ray
Most X-rays require no preparation. Depending on what area of the patient is being examined, the person may stand or lie on the X-ray table. The beam then focuses on the area in question and numerous angles may be taken to get a better opinion.

Areas of the body that are X-rayed generally fall into the following categories: abdomen, central nervous, chest, face/neck, heart and vascular and musculoskeletal. Examples of types of X-rays are: arthrography, bone densitometry, catheter angiography, galactography, hysterosalpingography, intravenous pyelogram, mammography, myelography, upper and lower GI tract.
